EVALUATION OF OOCYTE MORPHOLOGY IN POOR OVERIAN RESPONDER USING ANDROGEL PRIOR TO OVERIAN STIMULATION

Abstract

The study was conducted on 110 patients with poor ovarian response undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) at the Military Institute of Clinical Embryology and Histology, Vietnam Military Medical University. Objectives: To evaluate oocyte morphology of patients with poor ovarian response to topical testosterone use before ovarian stimulation. Results: The number of mature oocytes, the number of fertilized oocytes, and the good oocyte morphology were significantly higher in the transdermal testosterone group before ovarian stimulation compared with the control group. Conclusions: In conclusion, the topical application of testosterone (AndroGel) before ovarian stimulation can enhance both the quantity and quality of oocytes in patients with poor ovarian response to IVF.
