Abstract

Background: Determining the disease model in a specific medical facility at a specific time is very necessary, helping the health sector to develop a comprehensive health care plan for the people. Objectives: Determine the disease model and the rate of 10 common inpatient and outpatient diseases according to ICD-10 from 2020 to 2022.  Materials and methods: Cross-sectional study describing retrospective studies combined with patient records and records to inpatient and outpatient medical examination and treatment at the  Cai Nuoc general hospital. Results: The ten inpatient groups in 2020 accounted for the highest proportion of O80 disease (1 childbirth) accounting for the highest proportion (21.02%) followed by K25 (gastric ulcer) 15.72%, I10 (hypertension) 12.28%. The ten outpatient disease groups in 2020 accounting for the highest proportion are I10 disease code (hypertension) accounting for the highest proportion (20.06%) followed by E11 (diabetes mellitus) 19.65%, J20 (acute bronchitis) 12.23%, K25 (gastric ulcer) 9.42%, M13 (other arthritis) 8.72%, J02 (acute pharyngitis) 7.64%, H10 (conjunctivitis) 6.87%, K02 (caries) 6.18%, U62.141 (nonspecific arthritis) 4.98% and J32 (chronic sinusitis) 4.25%. Conclusions: The disease model of Cai Nuoc General Hospital in the period of 2020-2022 has an increase in the group of chronic non-communicable diseases.
