RESEARCH ON THE SELF-CARE PRACTICE OF HEART FAILURE PATIENT AT THAI BINH PROVINCIAL GENERAL HOSPITAL IN 2022

Abstract
Objective: To assess self-care practice of heart failure patient at Thai Binh Provincial General Hospital in 2022. Method: Cross-sectional description on 120 heart failure patients were treated at Thai Binh Provincial General Hospital in 2022. Result: The average age was 64.85 ± 11.2 years old; Occupation: 62.5% are farmers; gender male:female was 53.3%: 46.7%; strongly agree in self-care practice: I monitor my weight daily (12.5%), If I have difficulty breathing I will contact my doctor (20.0%), If my legs are damaged I will call the doctor (15.8%), If my weight increases by 2kg I will call the doctor (7.5%), I limit my daily fluid intake (36.7%), I eat lightly (9.2%), I take medicine according to the doctor's prescription (46.7%), I exercise regularly (11.7%); The mean self-care practice score was 12.51 ± 4.8; Conclusion: A study conducted on 120 heart failure patient at Thai Binh Provincial General Hospital in 2022 showed that: High level of self-care practice was 60.8% and low level of self-care practice was 39,2%.
