RESULTS OF APPLICATION OF LEAN MANAGEMENT IN PROCESS IMPROVEMENT IN INFECTION CONTROL AT YEN BAI PROVINCE GENERAL HOSPITAL

Abstract
A research was conducted to assess the results of applying the Lean management in the infection control process is the improvement of the handling process - sterilizing tools, improving the workflow to eliminate waste and unreasonableness in the labor process to create products with good value, quality, and effectiveness meet the reliability and satisfaction of patients. Performing observations, value-stream mapping and process improvement. After the improvement, the result showed that: 63% reduction in wasted execution time and 69,2 % in the process execution’s distance traveled. Conclusion: Applying a lean management approach in the field of Infection Control at the Hospital to improve processes and reduce unnecessary waste. Lean in Infection Control reduces product costs, reduces production time and increases product value.
