Abstract

Objective: The purpose of the study is to evaluate the Verocell vaccine's efficacy in preventing COVID-19 in Hanoi in 2021.  Research method: During the verocell vaccination implementation period (from August to October 2021) a cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted to gather data on the total doses of COVID-19 vaccination, including verocell and other vaccines, as well as the total cases of COVID-19 infection. Results: After receiving a verocell immunization, the break infection of COVID-19 was 0.47 percent. Receiving 2 doses of vaccine was associated with increased odds of having a CT value ≥30 (meaning to not transmit to community) for COVID-19 (OR=1.66; 95% CI: 1.18-2.32) and no difference in CT - value when vaccinated with verocell and other vaccines. Results: The effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccination needs to be studied over a longer period of time.
