EVALUATE CLINICAL, ULTRASOUND CHARACTERISTICS OF VARIANTS OF PAPILLARY THYROID CARCINOMA

Abstract
Objective: To compare clinical, ultrasound characteristics of aggressive with nonaggressive variant of papillary thyroid carcinoma. Patients and methods: Uncontrolled clinical trial of 103 patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma variant diagnosed. Results: Mean age was 44,53 ± 13,14, the female-to-male ratio is 4:1. There is no different between aggressive and nonaggressive variant of papillary thyroid carcinoma in age, sex, tumor characteristic, stage. Conclusion: It is important to diagnose variants of papillary thyroid carcinoma. Aggressive variant of papillary thyroid carcinoma should be followed up for along time.
