Abstract

Background: Health status and quality of life are important health-related indicators for investigating patient compliance with chronic diseases or conditions. Objective: Describe some factors related to quality of life in HIV/AIDS patients receiving ARV treatment at Di An City Medical Center, Binh Duong province in 2023. Method: Descriptive cross-sectional study, 343 HIV/AIDS patients are receiving ARV treatment at Di An City Medical Center, Binh Duong province, from December 2022 to May 2023. Results: people with "other" occupations had an overall quality of life score

4.83 points higher than unemployed people/housewives with p=0.005. Those who forgot to

take their pills had an overall quality of life score 5.63 points lower than those who did not report forgetting to take their pills, p=0.013. No relationship was found between age group, education level, marital status, current economic status, monthly income, duration of infection, shared HIV status, duration of ARV treatment, comorbidities According to, tuberculosis pathology with the field of general quality of life. Conclusion: Occupation and forgetting to take medicine are related to quality of life in HIV/AIDS patients undergoing ARV treatment at Di An City Medical Center, Binh Duong province.
