Abstract

The study cross-sectionally described 432 staff at Giong Rieng Medical Center with the objectives of (1) describing the perception of safety of healthcare workers with the Covid-19 pandemic and

  • analyzing the differences between the group of healthcare workers who have experienced caring for and Covid-19 patients and those who have not. The results showed that the awareness of occupational safety conditions of health workers was quite low (23.7% in the group directly treating and caring for Covid-19 patients and 37.1% in the non-direct group). There are differences in the preparedness of the safety conditions of the medical facility and the requirement to be cared for between the two groups. There is a phenomenon that the more concerned the medical establishment is, the more medical staff consider it unsafe. Conclusions: During the epidemic outbreak, health workers noticed a low level of safety. There is a contrasting reaction between the two groups that have and have not directly cared patients with Covid-19 in terms of the level of preparation for safety conditions of health facilities with safety awareness and the need for care for themself
