Abstract

Objective: Review the situation and satisfaction of the patient who use removable dental dentistry in Department of Prosthodontics, National Hospital of Odonto - Stomatology, Hanoi. Subject and method: cross-sectional description, all patients using partial removable dentures came for examination and treatment at the Department of Orthodontics, National Hospital of Odonto - Stomatology, Hanoi. Results: female accounted for a higher proportion than male (60% and 40%), the average age of tooth loss was 62.11 years old, the cause of tooth loss was due to loose teeth. The proportion of patients who feel comfortable is 68.89%, the rate of patients who feel uncomfortable due to having to take it off to clean daily is 76.92%. Regarding the chewing ability and aesthetics of the jaw, the highest satisfaction is assumed with the time of using the denture less than 1 year and the lowest with the use time of over 5 years. Patient satisfaction about the attitude of contact, medical examination and treatment service and medical care of doctors at the Department of Dental Restoration is 100%. Conclusion: over time, patient satisfaction about chewing ability and aesthetics of dentures decreased. Patients are completely satisfied with the doctors at the Department of Orthodontics, Hanoi Central Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology
