Abstract

Objective: The research aims to investigate and describe the current working environment conditions and the health status of workers at a garment company in Thanh Hoa. Research Method: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on two sample groups, including the working environment conditions and 460 employees working at the garment company in Thanh Hoa in 2022. The study aimed to evaluate the working environment conditions and the health conditions of the workers at this particular facility. Results: The majority of work positions at the company exhibited favorable working environment factors such as climate, lighting, noise, and dust concentration within permissible limits. However, only 28.6% of the positions in the sewing area exceeded the allowable noise limits. The research subjects showed the highest incidence of eye-related diseases, followed by issues related to the ears, nose, and throat, dental and maxillofacial problems, gynecological issues, cardiovascular diseases, and digestive problems. Diseases related to the urinary and musculoskeletal systems had a lower prevalence. The most commonly reported symptoms among workers after working hours were headaches (58.5%), followed by stomach pain and fatigue. Workers were categorized into four health types, with type I and II having the highest proportion at 88,1%, type III and IV at 11,9%.
