Abstract

Traumatic tracheobronchial injuries is a rare and severe, this injury form can be seen in blunt chest trauma, penetrating chest trauma or iatrogenic. Tracheobronchial rupture is divided into different degrees. For severe damage, patients can die quickly due to respiratory and circulatory disorders. For milder lesions, diagnosis can be difficult leading to prolonged treatment, difficulty in success, and other complications. An early diagnosis and management can reduce complications and avoid the loss of lung function. We describe a clinical case that was diagnosed and surgically treated for rupture of the left main bronchus at Viet Duc University Hospital in April 2021, and review the literature.
