Abstract

Purpose: To review the safety and efficiency of implantable phakic contact lens for the correction of high myopia. Methods: The prospective research of 64 high myopia at Viet Nga Eye Hospito from 2/2022 to 7/2023. The study asessed safety index, efficiency index of Implantable Collamer Lens V2.0. The following parameters were analyzed at 1 day, 1 week, 1 and 3 month postoperative visit: Vault, intraocular pressure, sphere and astigmatism refraction. Results: 3 months postoperatively, the highest UDVA and CDVA were 0,959 ± 0,09D; 0,994 ± 0,03D respectively. One month after the surgery, the safety index was 1,0367 and the eficiency index was 1,0723. Postoperative UDVA and CDVA were 9 sentences higher than preoperative UDVA. Intraocular pressure and Vault postoperation were in the normal range. The mean refractive error below -0,25D, the mean astigmatism below < -0,75D with follow – up period of 3 month. Conclusion: Implantable phakic contact lens are effective and safe tools for the management high myopia.
