Abstract

Purpose: Choosing the first treatment for Descemet’s membrane detachment post phacoemulsification surgery. Methods: Case reports. Results: 2 Descemet’s membrane detachment cases identified 1 week after phacoemulsification surgery were treated by 2 different treatments: intracameral air ịnection and intracameral C3F8 injection. After surgery, Descemet’s membrane reattached, corneal edema reduced and visual acuity had improvement. Air injection in anterior chamber has the recovery time better. Conclusions: Corneal edema is a common sign in Descemet’s membrane detachment post phaco surgery. AS-OCT confirms the presence of Descemet’s membrane detachment. Air intracameral is the first recommendation for large, central Descemet’s membrane detachment. Visual acuity improves significantly with approriate treatment.
