Abstract

Objective: To describe the current status of the patient experience in inpatient treatment at the Obstetrics Department of Binh Duong Provincial General Hospital in 2023. Research Method: A cross-sectional descriptive study, involving interviews with 197 inpatient individuals regarding their treatment experience. The data collection period was from March to May 2023. Results: The proportion of positive patient experiences in the study was 41.1%. Among the seven aspects evaluated for patient experience, the aspect related to the hospital environment had the highest satisfaction rate at 97.9%, followed by pain control at 93.9%, medication information at 90.4%, physician care at 89.9%, discharge process at 89.4%, nursing care at 88.9%, and the lowest was the response of the hospital staff at 55.8%. Conclusion: The overall rate of positive patient experience is relatively low, and there is a need for the development of discharge guidance materials to provide patients with information about medications and post-discharge care instructions.
