Abstract

Prospective descriptive study conducted on 114 patients at the Department of Urology Andrology and Nephrology from March 2023 to October 2023 on patients after laparoscopic surgery for urinary stones at Tam Anh General Hospital. Objectives: (1) Describe patient care activities after laparoscopic urinary stone surgery at Tam Anh General Hospital. (2) Analyze a number of factors related to patient care outcomes after surgery. The results showed that the first day after the patient had a few cases of abnormal developments (surgical wound pain, surgical wound bandage seepage,...) the patient's post-operative clinical condition improved over time. By day 3, all patients were within normal limits. Regarding patient care activities of nurses, it shows that post-operative patients are monitored/taken care of vital signs, pain, incisions, drainage, and urinary catheters are all performed ≥ 3 times/ days or more. And good care results account for 91.2%; Poor care accounts for 8.8%. The research results also found a number of related factors such as statistically significant differences between surgical history, between comorbidities, between catheter retention time, between stone size and the binding position of the stone. stones with care results, (p < 0.05). However, no differences have been found between gender, age, patient habits and preferences, between BMI and care outcomes (p>0.05).
