Abstract

Objectives: 138 lung cancer patients who treatment in National Lung Hospital from October 2022 to June 2023. Subjects and Methods: The cross - sectional study. through direct interviews 138 lung cancer patients  who treatment in National Lung Hospital from October 2022 to June 2023. Use the table of structure question to survey on clinical characteristics quality of life in lung cancer patients. Results: The mean age was 61.2 ± 9.1 years. More than two thirds of the patients were men (71.1%). More than half of the patients were in stage III (52.2%), the majority of patients received chemotherapy (55.9%), followed by combination therapy (31.2%), radiation (8.7%). treatment target (3.7%), surgery (2.1%). Regarding the time of disease since being diagnosed. the number of patients suffering from 3-6 months is the highest (32.6%), over 1 year is 28.2%, from 6 months - 1 year (25.3%) and lowest <3 months accounting for 10.9%. The majority of patients were hospitalized> 3 times (83.4%). Most patients have health insurance (97.8%). Pain is a typical symptom of cancer patients, nearly a quarter of patients suffer a lot (23.2%) and 5.1% of patients suffer a lot. More than half of patients experience dyspnea symptoms (51.4%). 21.7% of patients feel that it greatly affects their ability to pay for treatment and daily activities. Conclusion: Economic burden and factors related to health insurance, support from families, medical facilities and society (financial and physical support; psychosocial support for the patient himself); providing knowledge about cancer, how to prevent it as well as how to care for it….) plays a very important role in affecting the patient's quality of life.
