CLINICAL FEATURES OF HEMORRHOID SURGERY PATIENT AT NATIONAL HOSPITAL OF TRADITIONAL MEDICINE

Abstract

Objectives: To describe the clinical features and some related factors of hemorrhoidectomy patients. Subjects and methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study of 80 people were assigned to hemorrhoidectomy, who were at National Hospital of Traditional Medicine from October 2022 to January 2023. Results: The average age was 44.69±15.425 years old, in which the female/male ratio was 1.22. Group of brainwork are the highest proportion (55%), the duration of the disease is concentrated from 5-10 years (48.8%), grade IV mixed hemorrhoids accounted for mainly (67.5%), most of 3-4 hemorrhoidal tissue (66.2%). Among the risk factors, constipation was the most common (90%). Damp-heat syndrome is most common in hemorrhoid patients (63.75%). There is a relationship between gender and risk factors for alcohol consumption, spicy food in this study. Conclusion: This study described clinical features and the relationship between risk factors with gender, occupation, traditional medicine diseases.
