HEALTH STAFF'S WORKING MOTIVATION AND SOME RELATED FACTORS AT BU DANG DISTRICT HEALTH CENTER, BINH PHUOC PROVINCE IN 2023

Abstract

Background: Job satisfaction of health workers is an important factor that contributing to promoting and improving the working efficiency of medical staffs. Objective: Describe working motivation and analyze some factors related to working motivation of health workers in Health Center of Bu Dang district, Binh Phuoc province, in 2023. Methods: Cross-sectional study, quantitative combined qualitative research. The study collected quantitative information from 181 health workers through questionnaires and collected qualitative information through in-depth interviews with leaders and health workers. Results: The average score of motivational was 4.04 ± 0.30 points and the work motivation was 71.8%. Factors such as salary and others income (OR:CI95%: 2.47 (1.25 - 4.91);  executive management (OR:CI95%: 9.68 (2.86 - 32.76); Stability and safety of work (OR: CI95%: 2.58 (1.32-5.00); Training and development opportunities (OR:CI95%: 14.94 (6.66-33.50); Recognition of achievements (OR:CI95%: 7.33 (3.02 - 17.82) related to work motivation (p<0.05). Conclusion: It is essential to motivate medical staff in district health centers to ensure benefits for both sides to help medical staff work harder, keep them engaged, long-term with the work and devote themselves to the operation of the unit.
