THE RESULT OF EXTRUDING IMPACTED TEETH IN THE ANTERIOR SECTION

Abstract

Aim: To evaluate the outcome of extruding anterior impacted teeth by orthodontic. Research method: Colecting the information of 22 patients with 25 anterior impacted teeth from the recordings before and after treatment to discribe the outcome interm of the success rate, duration and some factors regarding. Results: 92% of the impacted  teeth  were  pulled  into  the occlusion. The good rate of treatement is 60%; 2 teeth – 8% go into failure. The mean of duration to pull out the impacted teeth is 18 months. This do not depend on the position of impacted teeth but relate to the angle between the impacted teeth and the midline as well as the age of patients. Conclusion: The success rate of extruding anterior impacted teeth reach a high level with 92%. The duration of treatment goes from 7 -37 months. The success rate do not depend on the position of impacted teeth and the angle of them whereas the duration is related to the angle and the age of patients.
