Abstract

Objectives: 1. To survey the relationship between serum ferritin levels and clinical and paraclinical characteristics in patients with systemic sclerosis. Subjects: A total of 30 patients diagnosed with systemic scleroderma according to the American College of Rheumatology/European League Against Rheumatism (ACR/EULAR) 2013 criteria, who were treated at Bach Mai hospital from September 2022 to July 2023. Methods: Prospective cohort study, cross-sectional description.  Results: The level of serum ferritin in Systemic sclerosis patients (481.15 ± 329.5 ng/ml) was significantly higher than that in healthy people (173 ± 282 ng/ml). The modified Rodnan skin score and interstitial lung disease are also more common in the high ferritin Systemic sclerosis group than the nomal ferritin systemic sclerosis group. Conclusion: The level of serum ferritin in Systemic sclerosis patients  was significantly higher than that in healthy people. Skin damage and interstitial lung disease seem to be associated with serum ferritin levels.
