Abstract

A prospective descriptive study was performed on 178 patients after hip replacement surgery at the Department of Lower Limb Surgery at Viet Duc University Hospital from April 2023 to July 2023. Objectives: (1) Describe activities and outcomes of caring patients after hip replacement surgery at Viet Duc University Hospital in 2023. (2) Analyzing some factors related to patient care outcomes after surgery. The results showed that the average age of the patients was 57.26 ± 15.12. The age group 41-60 accounted for the highest  percentage of 50%, While the lowest finger  of the age group 18-40 accounted for 12.4%. The male/female ratio is 2.87/1. Moreover, The proportion of patients receiving good care reached to  78.1%, Meanwhile the rest ones were not care well, at 21.9%. There are relating factors to the outcome of care such as age, BMI and time sugery,  the difference is statistically significant with p < 0.05. However, no difference was found between men and women, between overweight/obese and underweight (p > 0.05).
