Abstract

Objectives: To describe the clinical characteristics, X-ray images and results of treatment of proximal humerus fractures by the method of combining the locking plate at Hanoi Medical University Hospital. Subjects and Methods: Retrospective and prospective cross-sectional descriptive study on 46 patients between December 2018 and March 2023. Result: Mean age of study patients is 56,8 ±18.1. Neer IV,V fracture type accounted for the highest rate with 54.4%. The results of the humerus neck angle after surgery achieved good results, accounting for 82,6%. The rate of patients without pain after surgery accounted for 76.1%. 65,2% of patients had good postoperative shoulder range of motion. The percentage of patients with good overall results accounted for 60,9%.
