Abstract

This study was carried out on 158 teeth restored with zirconia crown when patients came for dental examination and treatment at the Department of Pediatrics, National Hospital of Odonto -Stomatology during the period from December 2022 to December 2023. Objective: To evaluate the clinical effectiveness of Zirconia crown in restoring anterior primary teeth. Methods: A interventional study without control. Results: This study evaluated the clinical results of anterior primary teeth fitted with pre-fabricated Zirconia crowns and was conducted at three time points: immediately after crown placement, 3 months, and 6 months. Immediately after the crown was placed, teeth were evaluated by the following criteria: gum bleeding, integrity, shape, color and fit of the crown. 98.1% of teeth at month 3 and 97.5% at month 6 had no dental plaque. The proportion of gum bleeding immediately after installing, after 3 months and 6 months was 20.3%, 3.2%, and 4.6% respectively. After 3 months, 6 months: over 95% of teeth achieved good results with intact shape, tight finished contours, no change in color. Conclusion: After 3 and 6 months: over 95% of teeth achieved good results with intact shape, tight contours, no change in color.
