ELBOW REPLACEMENT IN TREATMENT ELBOW MOTION LOSS DUE TO TRAUMA SEQUALAE: 3 CASES REPORT

Abstract

3 cases report about total elbow replacement in treatment loss of elbow movement. 1st case elbow stiffness in position extensor 30, 2nd case elbow stiffness in extensor position 25, 3rd case – instability of the elbow. Mean ages is 35, follow-ups is 4 months. The outcome scores ROM 113, extensor 3, 73,53, MAYO scores reached 95 points. All 3 patients are completely satisfied with the results after surgery. There have been many reports of total elbow replacement for treatment of limited movement in elbow joint due to post traumatic sequelae, with positive results with varying degrees of elbow range. Total elbow replacement in Vietnam is still a completely new treatment. For the best results, it is necessary to have a good pre operative plan.
