INITIAL RESULTS OF EMBOLIZATION INTERVENTION IN TREATMENT OF HEMORRHOIDS

Abstract

Objectives: Emborrhoid is a new method for treating hemorrhoids with the aim of reducing bleeding symptoms, and shrinking hemorrhoids. Material and method: The study was performed in the period from November 2022 to February 2023, 5 patients underwent selective embolization and 3 months follow-up at Bach Mai hospital. Results: All 5 patients had painful and bleeding symptoms, which reduced their quality of life. Four patients had grade II hemorrhoids and one patient had grade III hemorrhoids. After treatment, 2 patients experienced reduced bleeding and 3 patients stopped experiencing bleeding. 01 patient had reembolization. Conclusion: Emborrhoid is a safe and effective method, a new option for hemorrhoids patient.
