KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDE AND PRACTICES RELATED TO FOOT CARE AMONG DIABETIC PATIENTS AT HAIDUONG MEDICAL TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

Abstract
Aim: The study aimed at describing knowledge, attitude, practice about diabetic foot self-care among patients with type 2 diabete at Haiduong Medical Technical University Hospital. Method: A desciptive cross-sectional study was conducted on 152 diabetic inpatients at Haiduong Medical Technical University from 12/2021 to 05/2022. Results: The majority of patients had high knowledge (67.1%). 21.1% and 17.8% of the patients had average knowledge and low knowledge about diabetic foot self-care, respectively. In terms of attitude, the rate of patients having low, average, and high attitude was 12.5%, 20.4%, and 67.1%, respectively. A half of the parrticipants had low practice while only 9.2% of the patients had average practice. 40.8% of the patients were good practice.
