RESULTS OF ADJUVANT CHEMOTHERAPY TREATMENT WITH XELOX REGIMEN OF GASTRIC CANCER AFTER RADICAL SURGERY

Abstract
Treatment of gastric cancer depends on the stage and overall health of the patient. This descriptive study was conducted on 55 gastric cancer patients treated at the Oncology - Nuclear Medicine Center of Vinh Phuc General Hospital from January 2017 to December 2022. Results showed that the median disease-free survival (DFS) was 37.0 months (95% CI: 34.5-39.5). The 12-, 24- and 36-month DFS rates were 92.7%, 78.0% and 60.0%, respectively. The median overall survival (OS) time was 44.0 months (95% CI: 38.0-49.9). The 12-, 24- and 36-month OS rates were 96,4%, 83,5% and 73,6%, respectively. Factors affecting DFS: tumor location and stage (p < 0,05). Factors affecting OS: tumor location, pathologic features and stage (p < 0,05).
