THE STATUS OF MALOCCLUSION AND ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT NEEDS OF THIRD-YEAR STUDENTS AT UNIVERSITY OF MEDICINE AND PHARMACY – VIETNAM NATIONAL UNIVERSITY HANOI IN 2023

Abstract

The study was conducted on 68 students at university of medicine and pharmacy – Vietnam national university Hanoi in 2023 to estimate the status of malocclusion and orthodontic treatment needs. The results showed that the proportion of malocclusion was 85,3%, the most common type of malocclusion is Class I was 58,8%, class III malocclusion was 19,1% and class II malocclusion was 7,4%. The treatment needs according to dental aesthetics is 57,4%, according to dental health is 82,4%.
