The rate of depression in elderly malnourished patients is 38.1%. This rate is higher in the group at low risk of malnutrition (13.8%). According to the GDS-4 assessment scale, the most common symptom of depression is not feeling happy most of the time (18.3%); Next is 14.0% of elderly people who often feel depressed and sad; 6% feel their life is empty and hopeless.
