REMARK ON THE IMPROVEMENT OF PERIODONTAL HEALTH IN THE ADULT POPULATIONS OF THE RED RIVER REGION

Abstract

In the past two decades, along with socio-economic development, there have been many factors that have positively impacted the oral health of the adult community nationwide as well as in the Red River Region. Positive factors include oral hygiene propaganda activities, convenient access to dental services... Therefore, research on improving periodontal health in adult populations over the past two decades is necessary to make reasonable recommendations for preventive care of oral diseases. Through research on changes in dental health in adult communities over the past two decades in the Red River Region, we found: - The proportion of adults without periodontal pockets has increased significantly. - The mean number of sextants in adult communities here with periodontal pockets has decreased significantly. - With factors that have a positive impact on periodontal tissue over the past two decades, periodontal health in adult communities in the Red River Region has improved dramatically.
