OUTCOMES OF ARTHROSCOPIC TREATMENT FOR SUBACROMIAL IMPINGEMENT INHANOI MEDICAL UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
Main Article Content
Abstract
Objectives: To evaluate the outcomesof arthroscopic treatment for patients with subacromial impingement. Materials and method: Descriptive study of 30 patients diagnosed with subacromial impingement and treated by arthroscopic subacromial decompression in Hanoi Medical University Hospital from 01st January 2017 to 30th June 2020 were recruited. The mean age was 58 ± 10,7 (31-79) years. The mean operation time was 74,17 ± 8,2 minutes and the average length of hospitalizationwas 4,87±1,68 days. The functional classification of shoulder joint by using the UCLA scale showed 36.7%patients had an excellent result, 60.0%had a good result, 3.3% had a fair result. TheVASimproved significantlybetween post-operation and pre-operation. The patient’s satisfaction with treatment outcomes: very satisfied and satisfied (90%), normal (6.7%) and unsatisfied (3.3%). Conclusion: Arthroscopic subacromial decompression is aneffective and safe method of treatment for patients with subacromial impingement.
