Abstract

Background: Non-Arteritic Anterior Ischemic Optic Neuropathy (NAION) is a disease that causes optic disc edema, reduced or loss of vision as a result of reduced optic nerve perfusion. Objectives: Describe some subclinical characteristics of Non-Arteritic Anterior Ischemic Optic Neuropathy. Methodology: Cross-sectional descriptive study on 40 patients collected from August 2022 to August 2023 at Bach Mai Hospital.  Results: In the study group, the number of patients with an average visual acuity of 22 accounted for 55.0%; 100% of the study group's eye pressure was within normal limits; Total visual field defect accounts for 40%; Fluorescent hypoperfusion is the majority, accounting for 77.5%; The perfusion rate of the optic nerve at the 4 locations, upper, lower, right, and left, is different. Conclusion: Non-Arteritic Anterior Ischemic Optic Neuropathy has diverse subclinical characteristics, is relatively severe, and has an acute course.
