Abstract

Concurrent chemotherapy and radiotherapy for lung cancer is considered the current standard treatment for cases in the local stage, in areas without distant metastases that are not amenable to surgery. Caring for these patients is unique, requiring nurses to not only closely monitor the progress of the disease but also closely listen, share, and actively encourage the patient's spirit so that the patient can trust and feel at ease. treatment center. Objective: Analysis of results of care for lung cancer patients with concurrent chemotherapy and radiotherapy and some related factors at K Hospital in 2023. Subjects and methods: Designed a cross-sectional descriptive study on 110 lung cancer patients receiving concurrent chemotherapy and radiotherapy, collecting information on patient care according to nursing procedures in treatment departments at 3 the time from the start of treatment until the patient is discharged from the hospital. Results: The percentage of patients with good care results is 85.4%. Factors such as gender, duration and number of cigarettes smoked, treatment compliance, comorbidities and patient BMI are statistically significantly related to patient care outcomes.
