NUTRITION STATUS AND SOME RELATED FACTORS OF ELDERLY PATIENTS ON HEMODIALYSIS AT HUU NGHI HOSPITAL

Abstract
Objectives: Learn about nutrition status and some related factors of elderly patients on hemodialysis at Huu Nghi hospital. Subjects: 89 elderly patients on hemodialysis at Department of nephro-urology and dialysis of Huu Nghi Hospital from October 2023 to December 2023. Method: Descriptive. Results: Through a study of 89 elderly patients on hemodialysis, average age is 76.03 ± 8,485, the lowest age is 60 years old, the highest age is 93 years old. The group of patients 70 - ≤80 years old accounts for the largest number, 40.4%. 48.3% of patients with mild anemia, 6.7% of patients with moderate anemia, no patients with severe anemia. There was no difference in malnutrition across anemia levels with p>0.05. Patients at risk of malnutrition according to the MNA-SF toolkit are 14.6%, patients with malnutrition are 21.3%. Underweight patients (BMI < 18.5kg/m2 skin) is 14.6%. 25.8% of patients had serum albumin concentration <35g/l, there was a difference in malnutrition according to albumin concentration with p <0.05.
