Abstract

Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma is a low-grade malignant B cell lymphoma that occurs mainly in the organs having mucosal layer. Though the gastrointestinal tract is the most commonly involved extranodal site, primary esophageal MALT lymphoma is very rare with less than 30 cases reported in the literature. In this report, we present the case of a male patient, aged 59, who was admitted to the hospital with complaints of dysphagia. Computed tomography imaging and esophagogastroduodenoscopy with biopsy revealed Primary esophageal mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma. The patient was treated with cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, and prednisone without concurrent radiotherapy.
