Abstract

Background: The phenomenon of doctors changing jobs not only causes headaches for managers but also creates great pressure on maintaining stability in the organization. Objective: Describe the current status of attracting and maintaining medical human resources at Tien Giang Provincial General Hospital from 2020-2022. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study combining qualitative and quantitative was conducted at Can Giuoc regional general hospital to evaluate the current status of nursing human resources and influencing factors. Results: Through assessing the current state of nurses' capacity, the average self-assessment of nurses' capacity in terms of knowledge in all areas is 4.00 points or higher, and nurses' assessment of the nature of their work is I personally noted that 83.6% of the study sample rated their current job as suitable for them. 30.9% think that current work is heavy and difficult; 28.2% of the sample responded to holding multiple jobs. Regarding the current salary, 90.9% of the research sample said it was not enough to cover their living expenses, and 34.6% of the survey subjects had to do extra work outside the home. Conclusion: The results show that there are 4 factors that positively affect the current state of nursing human resources: recruitment activities; the construction and use of job position descriptions; relationships between employees and leaders; assigning tasks to nurses.
