REHABILITATION CARE OF PATIENTS AFTER LOBBYUTOMY SURGERY FOR LUNG CANCER TREATMENT AT K TAN TRIEU HOSPITAL IN 2023

Abstract

Objective: Reviewing the results of monitoring and caring for the recovery period of patients after laparoscopic lobectomy to treat lung cancer at K hospital. Subjects and method: Prospective descriptive study was conducted with on 152 patients after laparoscopic lobectomy to treat lung cancer at the Intensive Care Department – K Tan Trieu Hospital. Information is taken from medical records and through direct interviews and observations according to pre-designed questions. Results: Average age: 60.6 ± 8.60 years old, male/female ratio is 1.2/1. The most common comorbidity was hypertension (30.9%). Average surgery time was 179 ± 25.8 minutes. Average extubation time: 87 ± 30.2 minutes. Time to reach Aldrete score ≥ 9 was mainly under 3 hours (71.7%), average 167± 85.7 minutes. The pain care work of nurses was 93.5% effective, each pain point reduced will shorten the recovery time by about 15 minutes. Early respiratory care performs well on the criteria from 94.1% to 100%. Conclusions: The time to achieve Aldrete score ≥ 9 is mainly under 3 hours (71.7%), pain care work of nurses and early respiratory care is performed well.
