Risk factors such as: history of hospitalization in the past 12 months, inpatient treatment, urban living, anorexia, weight loss, polypharmacy and decline in daily functioning are associated. with depression. Conclusion: There is a need for routine screening and intervention strategies for risk factors for depression in patients with malnutrition.
