EVALUATING THE VALIDITY OF THE DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY DISORDER STIGMA SCALE ON HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS

Abstract
Objective: The study was conducted to evaluate the reliability and test-retest reliability of the mental health stigma scale. Subjects and methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 47 teachers at Hoang Cau High School, Hanoi City, from April 2023 to November 2023, using an instrument adapted from the questionnaire by Jorm (1997). The survey was conducted twice, 15 days apart. Results: the group of teachers in the study were primarily female, Kinh ethnic group, had post-university degrees, concentrated in the districts of Hanoi, were married, were classroom management teachers. The results of assessing the scale's reliability and items were met with Cronbach's alpha of the scale from 0.845 to 0.943, Cronbach's alpha of items from 0.772 to 0.929, and the total correlation from 0.431 to 0.431. 0.895. The results of the test-retest reliability assessment showed intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) values from 0.843 to 0.880, demonstrating good and excellent reliability. Conclusion: The stigma scale assessing reliability shows that it has the potential to be used to survey mental health stigma in teachers
