Abstract

Objective: To find factors related to the quality of life of cirrhosis patients treated at Saint Paul General Hospital. Research method: Cross-sectional descriptive study with analysis of over 80 patients being treated at Saint Paul General Hospital. Results: The study showed that the quality of life of patients with cirrhosis were low level. Of which 66.2% of patients participating in the study had low quality of life, 33.8% of patients participating in the study had high quality of life. The study also found a number of factors related to the quality of life of cirrhosis patients including age, education level, disease duration, disease stage and cause of cirrhosis. The remaining factors of gender, occupation, economic status, smoking status and alcohol consumption didn’t have relationship with the patient's quality of life.
