RESULTS OF TREATMENT FOR PATIENTS WITH FACIAL INFECTIONS AT NATIONAL HOSPITAL OF ODONTO-STOMALOG, HANOI, 2023

Abstract
Maxillofacial infection is a common disease, one of the reasons why patients have to be treated in the hospital due to severe progression and complications leading to a high risk of death if not promptly intervened. This is a study to evaluate the manifestations, influencing factors, treatment results and prognostic predictors in a group of patients with maxillofacial infections. This study was conducted at the Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, Hanoi Central Odonto-Stomatology Hospital from May 2023 to December 2023 after being approved by the Ethics Council of University of Medicine and Pharmacy – Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Evaluation of 64 subjects participating in the study recorded successful treatment results without complications for 58 subjects (90.6%), successful treatment with complications for 6 subjects (9.4%), and no cases of treatment failure were recorded.
