CHEST X RAY FINDINGS IN MILD POST COVID-19 PATIENTS AT VIETNAM MILITARY MEDICAL UNIVERSITY

Abstract

Objective: To describe clinical features and Chest X ray characteristics of patients with mild level Covid 19 and Post Covid 19 at Vietnam Military Medical University. Patients and methods: Descriptive study on 360 patients with mild level Covid 19 who was treated and/or followed up at Vietnam Military Medical University. The results: The proportion of male (77.8%) was higher than that of the female (22.2%). The mean age was 31.70 ± 14.53, in which the percentage of under 29 year old patients was highest, making up 63.9%. On chest X ray of patient with mild level Covid 19, the location was both peripheral and central. Interstitial thickening lesions are higher than ground-glass and consolidation lesions. The rate of post-Covid-19 patients with lung damage on X-ray was 15.8%. Among them, the most common location is the peripheral area and ground glass lesions are the main type. Conclusions: The most common finding on chest X -ray in mild post Covid patients was peripheral ground glass opacities and fibrous bands. Chest X-ray plays an important role in diagnosing and monitoring Covid-19 and post-Covid-19 patients.
