Nang và đường rò sống mũi là tổn thương không thường gặp tỉ lệ gặp là 1/30 000 người, tuy nhiên lại là tổn thương thường gặp nhất ở đường giữa mũi, chiếm 1% đến 3% tổng số các nang biểu bì (dermoid cysts), và 4% đến 12% của tất cả các u nang biểu bì ở vùng đầu cổ.1,2,8 Việc lấy bỏ hoàn toàn nang và đường rò sống mũi là điều cần thiết để ngăn ngừa tái phát, biến dạng mũi, nhiễm trùng, viêm màng não và áp xe nội sọ.1,2,8,9 Lựa chọn đường vào để lấy bỏ hết toàn bộ nang và đường rò sống mũi là vấn đề quan trọng trong điều trị. Ở đây chúng tôi mô tả việc xử trí thành công một trường hợp bị rò sống mũi sử dụng phối hợp đường mũi mở (open rhinoplasty), đường mở cạnh mũi và phẫu thuật nội soi có sử dụng định vị.
