Abstract

Objectives: This study aims to evaluate the value of VCUG in assessing the severity and prognosis of patients with urethral stricture. Methods: A descriptive case series study was conducted from January 2021 to December 2024 on patients diagnosed with urethral stricture who underwent VCUG at Binh Dan Hospital. Data collected included clinical characteristics, imaging findings, and treatment outcomes. Results: VCUG images demonstrated a strong correlation between stricture location, stricture length, and the degree of obstruction with treatment outcomes. Among the studied patients, the success rate after treatment was 83.3%. This method effectively identified risk factors such as vesicourethral reflux, contrast agent leakage, and complex urethral abnormalities. Conclusion: VCUG is an effective method in assessing the severity and prognosis of urethral stricture, playing a crucial role in determining the appropriate treatment approach.
