Abstract

Objective: To describe the oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) among patients undergoing prosthetic treatment with dental implants at Thai Thuong Hoang Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in 2024. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted using a quantitative approach, with a sample size of 190 patients. The quality of life score was assessed using the OHIP-14 questionnaire, which comprises seven domains and fourteen items, ensuring appropriateness and reliability. According to the OHIP-14 scale, a lower score indicates better oral health-related quality of life. Data were processed and analyzed using SPSS version 20, employing descriptive and inferential statistical methods. Results and Conclusion: The mean OHIP-14 score among patients was 2.02 ± 0.74. The most significantly affected aspect of OHRQoL was "Discomfort when eating" (mean score: 2.32 ± 1.04), followed by "Worsened sense of taste" (2.25 ± 1.01). The least affected aspects were "Being irritable with others" (1.51 ± 1.15) and "Lack of self-confidence" (1.83 ± 1.07).
