THE CURRENT STATUS OF DYSPNEA IN PATIENTS WITH INTERSTITIAL LUNG DISEASE IN NATIONAL LUNG HOSPITAL IN 2024

Abstract
Objective: To describe the dyspnea of patients with interstitial lung disease at the National Lung Hospital. Methods: Descriptive study on 124 patients diagnosed with interstitial lung disease from September 2024 to December 2024. Results: In our study, the average age of patients was 61.1%. The majority of patients were aged 60 and over in both men and women, with rates of 22.6% and 38.7% Female patients predominated with a rate of 66.1%. The majority of patients had symptoms of dyspnea when they came to the clinic with a rate of 54%, of which 51.6% of patients had dyspnea on exertion. 16.9% of patients were on oxygen at home, in which the number of patients with reduced SpO2 was 8.9% (SpO2 < 90%). 89.5% of patients had a rapid breathing rate > 20 breaths/minute. Conclusion: Shortness of breath was common in patients with interstitial lung disease (54%).
