Abstract

Objective: To assess patient satisfaction and identify factors associated with the quality of outpatient healthcare services at the Outpatient Department of Cho Ray Hospital during 2023–2024. Subjects and Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted among outpatients who visited the Outpatient Department of Cho Ray Hospital between March 13, 2024, and May 31, 2024. Results: A total of 1,019 outpatients were included. The proportion of female patients was approximately 1.3 times higher than that of males. Most participants were aged 36–50 years, while the proportion of those over 65 years old was the lowest. Overall satisfaction with outpatient healthcare services was reported at 84.2%. Patient satisfaction was significantly associated with gender (PR=0.5, p=0.021; 95% CI: 0.1–0.9), educational level (PR=0.73, p=0.003; 95% CI: 0.25–0.82), health insurance status (PR=0.62, p=0.005; 95% CI: 0.19–0.906), clinic unit (PR=1.238, p<0.001; 95% CI: 1.179–1.297) and place of residence (PR=0.73, p=0.009; 95% CI: 0.38–0.829). Conclusion: The overall satisfaction rate with outpatient services was 84.2%. Patient satisfaction was statistically associated with demographic factors, including gender, education level, health insurance usage, clinic unit, and place of residence (p < 0.05).
