Abstract

Students at HaNoi Medical University, Thanh Hoa Campus are at high risk of being infected with Hepatitis B virus through professional practice activities at the hospital. They are not only the future health workers but also the people who will consult the community on how to prevent transmission and inform them of the consequences caused by infecting the hepatitis B virus. A cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out on all full-time general practitioner students from the 1st to the 6th year at Thanh Hoa Campus. The study shows that 63,2% of students are ranked with achieving level, 36,8% of students  are ranked with non achieving level. There is a statistical relationship between gender, student’s year and disease investigation with knowledge of hepatitis B virus infection prevention. It is necessary to promote propaganda with the purpose of providing, consolidating knowledge and reminding students to pay attention to effective practicing prevention of hepatitis B virus infection.
