EARLY RESULT OF SELECTIVE SURGERY FOR INFRA-RENAL ABDOMINAL AORTIC ANEURYSM AT VIET DUC UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL DURING PERIOD 2018-2020

Abstract

Purpose: To evaluate early results of selective surgery for infra-renal abdominal aortic aneurysm at cardiovascular and thoracic center, Viet Duc university hospital during period 2018-2020. Method: This is retrospective descriptive study of all patients with infra-renal abdominal aortic aneurysm, who underwent selective surgery at Viet Duc University Hospital from January 2018 to December 2020. Results: There were 62 patients included in this study, 45 (72,6%) patients were male. Average age was 67,1 ± 1,27 years (range 36– 82); 45 (72,6%) patients were found them self a pulsatile abdominal mass. The fusil form accounted for 95,2%, with average diameter was 53,2 ± 1,35 mm (28-110). 56 (90,3%) of the patients underwent abdominal aortic replacement using Y graft. 6 (9,7%) patients were used straight graft. Average surgical time was 204,9 ± 46,2 minutes (range 120 - 360). Early mortality rate was 0%. There were 4(6,5%) reoperations, in them 3(4,8%) had retroperitoneal hematoma, 1(1,6%) had colon necrosis. Conclusion: selective surgery for infra-renal abdominal aortic aneurysm at cardiovascular and thoracic center, Viet Duc university hospital during period 2018-2020 is safe. There was no early dead after surgery.
