Abstract

Background: Therapeutic ultrasound is a physical modality with the broadest range of applications and is widely used in clinical practice. The application of therapeutic ultrasound in the treatment of pain caused by lumbar spondylosis is more and more effective in today’s society. Objectives: To evaluate the results of treatment of low back pain by osteoarthritis with “Doc hoat tang ky sinh” combined electroacupuncture and ultrasound therapy. Materials and methods: Clinical intervention study with a control group, random sampling 70 patients were diagnosed with low back pain due to spondylosis and divided into 2 groups, group 1 used drugs combined with electro-acupuncture, and group 2 used drugs combined with electro-acupuncture and ultrasound therapy; data analysis using SPSS 26.0 software. Results: “Doc hoat tang ky sinh” combined with electro-acupuncture and ultrasound therapy had a good effect in treating low back pain due to spinal degeneration; 65.7% got a good result. Improving the VAS pain score scale (before treatment was 6.46; after 14 days of treatment, it was 2.8) statistically significant with p<0.001; improving the Schober index (before treatment was 11.74cm; after 14 days of treatment, it was 13.17cm) statistical significant with p<0.001; improving the hand-soil index (before treatment was 31.31cm; after 14 days, it was 11.20cm) statistical significant with p<0.001. Conclusion: The combination regimen of antiparasitic drugs combined with electroacupuncture and ultrasound therapy on patients with low back pain was effective in treating low back pain due to spondylosis.
